Brandon Tucker, bassist and vocalist for melodic death metal / metalcore band Wages of Sin as well as easycore group Stand Your Ground, passed away at the age of 29 on August 13th, 2022. A resident of Gander, his body was found in the woods between Gander Lake and the Trans-Canada Highway, and it is believed that he died due to hypothermia. He was last seen walking from his home on July 8th, 2022, and police had been searching for him up until July 14th.
Wages of Sin had been active in the St. John’s metal scene in the early 2010’s, with the band opening for Silverstein on October 8th, 2011 at the long closed venue Headquarters. Brandon was also a member of the Iron Maiden tribute act Children of the Damned.
Tucker is survived by his mother, Margaret Rose Connolly, father, Paul Tucker, brother, Kurtis Tucker, and partner Travis Gleason. Our condolences go out to Brandon’s family during this time.
