Triskelyon Resigns to Moribund Records in Two-Album Deal

St. John’s power / thrash metal project Triskelyon, which is the solo project of Category VI guitarist Geoff Waye, has resigned to their Washington-based label Moribund Records in a new two-record deal. The project’s previous two records, 2022’s Downfall and 2023’s Artificial Insanity, were both released through Moribund Records as well.

Category VI Announce Title and Album Art for Upcoming LP, Sign to Moribund Records

St. John’s power metal band Category VI have experienced a long journey towards their third full length record. Now, after several years since it was first announced the band was working on a new record, we finally have some details about the upcoming release.

Announced on social media on Friday, August 19th, 2022, the band revealed that the title of the new record is Firecry. The band also revealed the album art, pictured above, which was designed by Ivan Radnic.

On top of that the band also announced that they have signed to Washington State-based extreme metal label Moribund Records, joining guitarist Geoff Waye’s other band Triskelyon on their roster.

The release date of this record has yet to be announced.

Triskelyon Reveals Album Art, Tracklist, Release Date for New LP ‘Downfall’

St. John’s thrash metal / power metal project Triskelyon has announced the release date, title, album art and tracklist for their upcoming full length record. Entitled Downfall, the record will release on Friday, October 28th, 2022, features nine tracks, and will be released through Washington State-based extreme metal label Moribund Records.

The album also features artwork designed by IvaanMR11 and was mixed and mastered by Michael Small of the band Jaded Truth.

The tracklist is as follows, featuring rerecorded / remixed versions of the three songs from Triskelyon’s debut EP:

The album was composed and written mostly by Geoff Waye (also of Category VI), with drum programming provided by Raul Marques. A roster of guest musicians rounds out the other instrumental and vocal duties on the record, including as follows:

New Jaded Truth Record Mastered by Jack Endino

St. John’s grunge trio Jaded Truth have been working on their second record, the follow-up to 2020’s Rx, since the release of their debut, but have recently announced that the record is finally complete. In an announcement yesterday, on February 1st, 2021, the band revealed that not only is the record complete and ready for release, but the album was mastered by legendary producer Jack Endino.

Working out of Soundhouse Recording in Seattle, Washington, Endino is famous for his work producing Bleach, the iconic debut record from Nirvana, as well as the compilation album Screaming Life by Soundgarden.

There has been no announcement of a release date for the new record yet.
