St. John’s garage punk outfit Sick Puppy are heading to the mainland for a show at Sappyfest 2024. Sappyfest is a three day music and arts festival that occurs in Sackville, New Brunswick. This year it will be occurring between August 2nd and August 4th.

St. John’s experimental hardcore troupe The Order of the Precious Blood will be hitting the mainland once again this month for their first ever show in Toronto, Ontario. The band will be performing on Wednesday, June 12th at The Bovine Sex Club as part of North by Northeast 2024 alongside Discontinuity, Basterds, Falls for the Elderly, Polluted, and Trick Casket.
St. John’s blackened / experimental hardcore outfit The Order of the Precious Blood has revealed the posters and full lineup announcements for the remaining three gigs of their upcoming Maritime tour at the end of April.
On April 26th the band will be in Miramichi, New Brunswick performing at The Shred Shed alongside Moncton death metal / grindcore outfit Ibex and Miramichi local hardcore punks Ten Dollar Meat Bags.
On April 27th the band will be in Moncton, New Brunswick at Xeroz Arcade Bar and will be joined once again by Ibex as well as stoner punks Yhorm from Sussex, New Brunswick.
On April 28th the band will be in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia at The Bitten Moon Pub alongside Breakneck, Great Value, and Nova Scotia powerviolence / hardcore outfit Fear and Filth.
St. John’s blackened / experimental hardcore outfit The Order of the Precious Blood have announced a new tour. Coming up this April, this marks the band’s second excursion off the island since their formation. The group will be playing a series of shows across Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

St. John’s metalcore / hardcore group Precious Blood are hitting the road this August for several dates across the Maritimes in support of their recently released debut EP I No Longer Wish for Salvation. The band will be traveling across Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia for a series of shows, some of which will be with P.E.I. hardcore punk band Baited, and some of which will be with New Brunswick sludge / grind outfit Anthesis.

Glovertown blackened heavy metal outfit Mistwalker, which has since relocated to Montreal, along with Montreal death metal / sludge metal trio Øbelisk, have announced a full three week tour of the Maritimes in August of 2023. The Atlantic Annihilation Tour will make its way through Eastern Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia before eventually making its way to Newfoundland.
The bands will perform in Corner Brook on August 16th at The Corner Pocket on West with local support from The Mill and October Wasp. They will then make their way to Glovertown on August 17th, Mistwalker’s hometown, where they will be joined by short sets from Defense Force, Wretched Fiend, and Nemophilist. The bands will then hit St. John’s for a series of three shows. Two of these shows will take place at The Rockhouse on the evenings of August 18th and 19th where the bands will headline both shows but play different sets each night. On the 18th they will be joined by Winterhearth, InfectDead, and Everose, while on the 19th they will be joined by The Skeats, Dendron, and Jaded Truth. On the 19th they will also play a matinee show at the Gower Street United Church alongside Bazooka, Sick Puppy, and Buck 50’d, courtesy of Barely There Media.

Nova Scotia metal fest Merciless Metal Festival will be taking place on August 25th and 26th, 2023 this year in the city of Stanley and some familiar faces from Newfoundland and Labrador will be hopping on the bill. Alongside Quebec grinders Exotoxic and Chicago black metallers Withering Soul, St. John’s experimental hardcore band Precious Blood and St. John’s blackened death violators Winterhearth will be taking the stage in the Maritimes.

St. John’s hardcore / emo band Sick Puppy have announced a number of dates for an upcoming tour where the band will be leaving the island for the first time. The band will be playing shows in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as New Brunswick and Alberta.

St. John’s blackened death metal band Grenadier will be heading all the way to Finland next year to perform at the eleventh installment of Steelfest Open Air. Taking place in Hyvinkaa between the dates of May 18th and May 20th, 2022, this will be Grenadier’s first time performing outside of Canada. Earlier this year Grenadier performed for the first time outside of Newfoundland at the tenth edition of the Messe des Morts black metal festival in Montreal.
St. John’s sentimental death metal outfit Grenadier will be making the trek to Montreal for the first time this autumn as part of the three day Messe des Morts festival. Taking place from November 24th to November 26th, this year’s installment of the festival features such acts as the legendary Carpathian Forest for their first time ever in North America, as well as Ireland’s Primordial.
Grenadier will be performing on the first day of the festival, November 24th, 2022, at Piranha Bar, where they will share the stage with Regarde les Hommes Tomber from France, for their first time in North American, Ontarian black metallers Panzerfaust, Montreal death metallers November Grief, who have reunited for their first show since 1996, and Orphique, for whom it is their debut performance.
