HÄG Release Debut Self-Titled LP

St. John’s progressive doom metal outfit Hag surprised everyone earlier this year when they announced a name change (formerly being known as Goon) and followed that up by announcing a full length album, releasing a new single entitled “House Sparrow” and recruiting former Category VI drummer Patrick Tarrant as their new drummer following the departure of former drummer Keith Harding.

Today on June 5th the band has finally unleashed their debut, self-titled record upon the world. The sounds of this album could be compared to a wide array of artists, fitting mostly within the realm of atmospheric and progressive doom metal a la The Gathering, Chelsea Wolfe or Anathema.

The album is available for purchase on limited edition vinyl as well as on the group’s Bandcamp page and streaming services.
